The Colourful Digby Fishing WharfThis hostel is housed in a beautiful Dutch Colonial style house. You are sure to love the view of the fishing wharf and bay from the back of the hostel. Located minutes away from the waterfront boardwalk, restaurants and shops. Digby itself offer some great strolls along the boardwalk and on the beach, as well as some interesting little museums, world-class local festivals and Wednesday evenings life music.

Located right on the Bay of Fundy, Digby is considered to be a great place to watch the vertical effect of the tides.

Top 3 of things to do:

  1. Visit Annapolis Royal, oldest permanent European settlement in Canada and historic site. A beautiful historic village with a great Saturday Farmers Market, Historic Site Fort Anne, Historic Gardens, the award winning 'graveyard tour', and much more.  Located only 30 kilometres away from Digby, you can easily reach Annapolis Royal by local Kings Transit. Do keep in mind that this bus does not run on Sundays!
  2. Go whale watching. Some of the best whale watching in the world can be found right in this area.
  3. Visit Bear River, a true artist village partially built on stilts, right on the tidal Bear River. With its artist studios, art galleries, unique geographic location, native interpretive center, and winery, it is a must see.
