We are located right in between Mahone Bay and Lunenburg, two must-see villages on your travels through Nova Scotia. Overlooking the bay, we are located within walking distance from the beach and an easy drive to both Lunenburg - a UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reason - and Mahone Bay – a picture perfect town popular with artists. With a bbq area for our guests, swimming pool on-site, and several acres of land with ocean views this is the perfect home-base for your adventures.
Lunenburg and Mahone Bay: A true Feast for the Eyes and Soul
Things to do:
Visit Lunenburg, one of only 2 towns in North America designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll around the old town, with streets lined with heritage buildings, pay a visit to the world-class Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic commemorating the fishing heritage of Atlantic Canada, or admire the famous Bluenose 2. Don’t forget to stop by at the Fantastic Lunenburg Bluenose Golf Course, even if it is only to admire the view of the town from the course. Take a stroll around Mahone Bay and enjoy the many arts and crafts stores. Make sure to stop in at Amos Pewter and enjoy a chat with the craftsmen and women in the interpretive workshop. Rent a kayak or take a sailing trip to enjoy the beautiful views from the water and stop at one of the islands in the Bay for a picnic, or take a tour by zodiac into the sea caves at Oven’s Sea Caves and Natural Park. Take a tour with Kip & Kaboodle to Peggy’s Cove, a unique fishing village with the most photographed lighthouse in Canada. Ask the owners, Greg and Trudi, about other tours as well!
